Dr. Shamsher Singh Gulia has recently joined as the Principal of GC Mohna, Faridabad. He has had a distinguished career as an academician and a researcher since joining services as an Assistant Professor on 29 October 1997 at GC Bahadurgarh . Dr.Gulia happens to be an idol for thousands of students since he rose from a humble background to reach the position he is at present. Born on 26 September 1967 at a home in Gaushala in village Badli in Jhajjar district of Haryana , Dr.Gulia’s spent his initial period of life in Delhi , doing his schooling from St. Mary’s School Delhi Cantt and Mt. Carmel School in Delhi. He did his graduation from Shivaji College of the prestigious Delhi University from which he obtained his M.Phil degree as well. His intellectual curiosity pushed him to obtain his first PhD from school of social sciences and the Department of History under UGC Teacher Fellowship. These 26 years have been a blessing to the state of Haryana and its learners owing to the presence and services of a learned personality like Dr. Gulia. He has been an ardent researcher since his college days as he completed his education in the national capital, Delhi. He did his PhD from IGNOU while simultaneously cracking the code of difficult examinations like UGC JRF. He has worked at Pt. JLN Government College in the capacity of Associate Professor in History since last many years. Dr.Gulia is a firm believer in the philosophy of clean and green campus bringing about positive changes in the lives of both students and well as the staff members. For the last three decades he has been totally focused and committed towards student welfare through various means like women empowerment, supporting extra co-curricular activities , and organizing and supervising various training programs . His basic thrust is on the holistic emancipation of young minds and it is for this reason that he lays great emphasis on imbibing both life-skills as well as soft skills. As the Principal at GC Mohna , he hopes to continue with his optimistic, easy , but firm and disciplined approach that would further push the students as well as the staff to strive for perfection and take the baton of higher education in Haryana to new heights.
